The Institute of Biotechnology of the CAS, v. v. i. (hereinafter referred to as the "IBT"), in accordance with the relevant law and the EU Directive, is implementing an internal whistleblowing system that will enable IBT employees as whistleblowers to report violations of EU law, public interests or unlawful conduct within the IBT. At the same time, these rules introduce measures to protect such whistleblowers and set out the procedure and modalities for investigating and dealing with such reports.
Without his or her express consent the identity of the whistleblower will not be disclosed to anyone other than the so-called “designated person”. The designated person has been appointed by the Director of the IBT and is the only person allowed to read and, therefore, assess the reports.

How and where can I report an infringement?
The whistleblower can file a report in any way he or she wishes, in person, by phone or e-mail to the designated person, or via a secure web form available here.
How quickly will the notification be resolved?
The whistleblower will receive confirmation that the notification has been received within 7 calendar days and will also receive a notification of the handling of the notification no later than 3 months after the confirmation is sent.
Tracking the notification
Notifications submitted through the internal organizational system can be tracked by entering a unique key which the whistleblower will receive after sending the notification.

Exclusion
The IBT excludes the receipt of a notification from a person who does not perform work or other similar activities for the IBT under Section 2(3)(a), (b), (e), (h) or (i) of the Whistleblower Protection Act.
