This workshop provides a general overview of how AI tools, particularly generative AI and large language models (LLMs), can transform every stage of the research process. Participants will gain a solid primer on AI-powered research tools and techniques, enabling them to leverage the potential of AI to accelerate and improve their research workflow. Responsible use of generative AI in research, addressing issues such as transparency, reproducibility, and potential biases, along with strategies for mitigating these risks, will be discussed.

Speaker's Bio:

Michaela Liegertová, Vice-Dean for Development and Quality at the Faculty of Science, University of J.E. Purkyně, is renowned for her efforts in integrating generative AI into research and teaching practices. She founded the "AI Společně" project, an initiative that promotes collaboration between academics and students on the effective use and application of generative AI tools.
