This follow-up workshop builds upon the concepts introduced in the "AI for Researchers Workshop," focusing on the practical application of generative AI tools throughout the research workflow in studies of biomolecular mechanisms. Participants will be presented with real-life use-cases to gain inspiration for using generative AI to enhance their own research workflow, from ideation to publication and results dissemination:
- Learn how to use AI-powered tools like ChatGPT-4 to brainstorm research ideas, generate hypotheses, and create structured research plans.
- Discover how AI can help you efficiently navigate and synthesize scientific literature, identifying key trends, gaps, and opportunities for further research.
- Explore how generative AI can assist in analyzing complex datasets, identifying patterns, and generating insights.
- Experience how AI writing assistants can help you draft and revise manuscripts more efficiently, from generating initial outlines to suggesting improvements in clarity, coherence, and adherence to journal guidelines.
- Learn how AI can support you during the peer review process, from identifying suitable journals to drafting responses to reviewer comments and revising your manuscript accordingly.
- Discover how AI can help you create engaging research summaries and other multimedia content to effectively communicate your findings to a wider audience.
- Discuss the responsible use of generative AI in research, addressing issues such as transparency, reproducibility, and potential biases, and develop strategies for mitigating these risks.
Throughout the workshop, participants will learn how to implement generative AI tools at each stage of the process. The workshop will conclude with a reflection on the benefits and challenges of integrating generative AI into research workflows.
This workshop explores how AI tools, including large language models (LLMs), can revolutionise your research workflow – from idea generation to final publication.
