The Institute of Biotechnology of the Czech Academy of Sciences (IBT) announces an open competition in accordance with the Act No. 283/1992 Coll. on the Czech Academy of Sciences, and the Statutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences for the position:
Postdoc in the Laboratory of Tumor Resistance
TOPIC: CANCER RESISTANCE, MITOCHONDRIA, IRON METABOLISM
Postdoctoral fellow will be responsible for data mining and evaluating the effects of potential target molecules associated with cancerogenesis, particularly those linked to tamoxifen and taxane resistance, mitochondrial function, and iron metabolism. The role involves both in vitro tissue culture work and in vivo animal handling and treatment.

Requirements:
- Educational Background: PhD in Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, or Molecular Biology.
- Proven Research Experience: Demonstrated history of research activities and contributions to the field.
- Active Research Participation: Ability to engage actively in ongoing research projects.
- Communication & Teamwork: Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Leadership Skills: Capable of mentoring and guiding PhD students, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Language Proficiency: Advanced level of written and spoken English.
- Relevant Expertise (Preferred): Experience with mitochondrial and cancer biology and CRISPR/NGS/sc RNA-seq methods is an advantage.
The contract is offered for one year with a possible extension.
